 I dedicate this song to you. I recall your face and memories looking at the Moon and i embrace you with my feelings for you. We may be separated by day and night difference and even by great oceans but still no one can dissipate it. You are like a mirage to me distant and one which i cannot have yet my heart still desires to hear your voice and see you smile. Kaveri river how it is inaccessible to Tamilians , you are also not meant for me to be with me even though I love you , I long for you . I have to be like a beggar satisfied stealing glances at you o my beautiful mirage which may vanish if I open my eyes. I fell for you in 2002 and now it is 2016 yet there is a sense of emptiness in my heart and this song truly reflects how I feel for you. if there is anything more , I would like to meet you and hear you talk or at least smile . I could not forget the twinkling eyes and beautiful smiles. It striked me like a thunderbolt out skies. I saw you with your family yet I would like to hear that laugh and smile and talk. You may have forgotten me but I have tried to forget you but you keep coming up.. Kannagi Kannagi is an embodient of Virtue in Tamilnadu. we can see Kannagi statue in Poompuhar where her right hand (Dakshina Hastam) is in Abhaya mudra . Abhay mudra means offering protection to people who submit to her feets. The left hand ( Vama Hastam) is in Kati mudra or Kati Vilambitha mudra. Kati means 'hip' and 'Vilambitha' means hanging. the hand is bend at wrist and placed beneath left of hip. the significance of this mudra is to offer protection to devotees i.e. in times of deluge the waters shall not go beyond the hip.
