Kirthimukham as the name symbolises "kirthi" means fame and Mukham means face. Nallathanga (15 th Century) In Virudunagar, Arjunapuram village lived Ramalinga Raja along with his wife Indrani.They had no issues so they took the counsel of wise men and rishi’s. Rishi’s asked them to move to forest and do penance to Lord shiva to begot good children. The couple moved to the forest and did penance and after sometime Lord shiva was pleased with their devoution and rewarded them with a beautiful son.
