Nava Veeras They are brave attenders of Lord Muruga. They were born to Nava Shakthis. In Kati hastham, the hand is bend and held at the hip of the Gods. Thirupathi Balaji and Murugan both have this Kati hastham with their left hands. The left hand ( Vama Hastam) is in Kati mudra or Kati Vilambitha mudra. Kati means 'hip' and 'Vilambitha' means hanging. the hand is bend at wrist and placed beneath left of hip. the significance of this mudra is to offer protection to devotees i.e. in times of deluge the waters shall not go beyond the hip. 

Ushnisha Bhushana / Shriobestana Kirita Mukuta Mukuta means 'Crown' in sanskrit. Kirti means' Glory'. Kirita Mukuta is a conical crown or cylindircal crown with lot of ornamentation and adorned with gem stones of glory. The centre of front side of the crown has a jewel or a central motiff. The rest of the crown are covered with small designs. Kirita Mukuta symbolises royalty and adorns various forms of Vishnu and Surya. The crown has appearance of Taranga (ie waves). The base of Kirita Mukuta must be curved like a Ardha-Chandra(Crescent shaped)just above the forehead. The height of the Kirita Mukuta should be two or three times the length of the wearer's face. It symbolises the superior nature of the wearer and he has many subordinates to do his work. Kirita Mukuta can be worn by Chrakavarthis who conquered beyond seas.
